Are you looking for a career in Childcare? Do you already work in the Childcare, Youth or Education sector and wish to gain qualifications while also developing your knowledge and skills?

This qualification has been developed for people wanting to work in the children and young people's workforce. It develops the wide-ranging knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth up to 19 years.

​

This qualification has two pathways:

​

(1) The Social Care Pathway course is for individuals interested in or working with young people in looked after environments (children in care) e.g. residential care, residential settings like schools, fostering, Family Workers, etc.

​

(2) The Learning & Development Support Services Pathway course is for individuals who are interested in becoming a Learning Mentor.

​

This qualification can be achieved through the following:

  • Apprenticeship (aged 16-23 years old and an employer ready to employ you as an apprentice.)

  • Self-funded (paid for by you)

  • Funded (paid for by employer or other organisation e.g. grant)

  • Further Education Loan (Awaiting Confirmation)
